What to Pack for a Surf Trip to Lombok

Lombok’s warm climate makes packing simple, but a few thoughtful items can make the trip safer and more comfortable. Bring lightweight clothing, swimwear, sandals, a hat and one modest outfit for villages or religious sites. Add a light rain layer during the wetter months and a warm top for air-conditioned transfers or early departures.

Surf essentials

Pack reef-safe sunscreen, a rash vest, reusable water bottle, small first-aid kit and any personal medication. Experienced surfers travelling with boards should bring spare fins, fin keys, wax suitable for warm water and a compact repair kit. Beginners renting locally usually need only swimwear and sun protection. A dry bag is useful for boat trips and sudden rain.

Travel light, plan well
